How does a relationship with a new reseller typically work?
The reseller assuming responsibility for IT product in their area will usually:
- Provide for language localization of the IT product
- Assume responsibility for marketing and acquisitions of new customers in given product field
- Provide service and technical support for IT product
- Pay an agreed author’s fee from the sales of the products
On the other hand, the task of IT product authors will be to:
- Provide collaboration with language localization
- Provide know-how related to sales and servicing of the product
However, all commercial terms between IT product authors and the reseller partner depend on their mutual agreement.
